“Our origins lie in the vineyard. Pruning in winter, the summer sun that ripens the grapes, the misty morning air that accompanies the harvest”.

Dacastello Vini Pregiati is the story of two brothers born on a Piedmontese hill surrounded by vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see.

“And while the ties that bind us to our home became stronger and stronger, the world beyond the hill began to spark our curiosity.
We travelled extensively, experiencing other cultures, until one day we looked each other in the eye and knew instantly that we had the same vision. And that’s when we returned to Italy”.

Things had changed. The wine world had evolved, becoming more specialised.

“Meeting up with winemakers from the various regions of Italy put us in touch with the most diverse types of winery”.

That’s what triggered the concept: to promote the diversity of Italian wine. Dacastello Vini Pregiati was set up with a specific aim in mind. That of offering as many people as possible, in Italy and the rest of the world, the chance to discover and enjoy the most authentic Italian wines.

“It was the early 2000s and we were guided by a vision, a challenge and the strength of our origins.
We conceived our first labels and added our first wines to the catalogue, with determination. In spite of the many obstacles, we continued to have faith in our project. Perseverance has been our strength”.

Over fifty types of wine were added to the Dacastello Vini Pregiati catalogue within a short space of time. The distribution network spread throughout the whole of Italy and then extended to Europe.

Believing in innovation and raising the quality of its products, Dacastello Vini Pregiati is now present in Europe, the United States, Central America and North Africa with three different ranges of wines, capable of meeting the requirements of the most diverse clientele.

“In the meantime, our children grew up, completed their studies and joined us. Their skills, our experience and technology have come together. Together, we are working to develop our vision”.

Now our shared aim is to enable as many people in the world as possible to discover the regional excellence of Italian wine.

“Our future? To see a Spanish chef sipping a Ribolla Gialla in Shanghai, an Italian couple coming across a Barbera from their homeland in Dubai, and an Indian bride raising a toast with a glass of Prosecco”.
